Question :
Q. A 4 years old boy has fever for 3-4 days then he developed episodes of convulsion, convulsion are generalized and last for 5 min followed by loss of consciousness for 10 min. in last 2-3 days he has 2 episodes of convulsion which lasted for 5 min in between the episodes pt remain normal. His CT is normal. Widal positive. He did not have any convulsions before this episode. No neck stiffness, Kernig`s negative. What could be the differential diagnosis? Typhoid encephalopathy or fever-induced epilepsy?
