A 5-month-old male infant has indirect hyperbilirubinemia 3rd day after birth, total bilirubin reaches 19, direct 0.6, SGOT 37, SGPT 37, GGT 129, NORMAL hemoglobin and reticulocyte count, and normal abdominal ultrasonography Infrequent vomiting, normal growth and development, on artificial feeding, normal thyroid hormone level, normal chest and heart and abdominal examination, no response to phenoparbitone. The jaundice is persistent, and he takes phototherapy at home.
