4 month old presented with unilateral mild purulent ear discharge, otherwise comfortable, afebrile, active and feeding well. How do we manage this case?

Use nasal drops(saline) and advocate feeding in the upright position. No need for antibiotics.

It is case of Chronic Suppurative Otitis Media(CSOM) it is two types Attic entral granulation and Tubo rypmanic CSOM
Attic entral granulation is danger for brain referal immediately to ENT but Tubu-tympanic should treat by antibiotics drops only.
Management:
1.Non-Pharmocology
2.Pharmocology
-Educate
-Dry Ear
-Ear pulge during Shower/Bathing
-Aural Toilet(Clean Pusy ear)
-Antibiotic Ear drops till pus and infection resolve then refer to surgery for repair tympanic membrane.

no treatment is needed in this case..we need to just educate the mother about breastfeeding

seems to be non infectious ....probably it's breast milk as child is comfortable,taking breast feeding,active ..... instead of crying ,toxic ,febrile .

Mother should be taught how to properly breastfeed baby, to avoid lying down while breastfeeding.... Reassure parents that it might be breast milk in the ear canal
