How IV fluid and vitamins and minerals should be supplemented in a starving child, who has not taken anything orally for more than 7 days. What should be the plan for parenteral supplementation in the initial few days which iv fluid, and doses of vitamins and minerals?

Check for dehydration. If present, correct as per degree of dehydration. The type of fluid will depend on serum sodium and blood sugar as well as serum osmolality. Vitamins and minerals will be as per RDA. If serum calcium or magnesium is low, then treatment of the same will be required.
