What symptomatic medicine should be given in children less than 6 months of age having a cough with a running nose OR only cough persisting for more than 5-7 days without rhonchi?

Saline nasal drops for cold. No cough syrups in children less than 2 years. May try Paracetamol for anti-inflammatory action.
