Decompensated Cirrhosis - Blood Picture
Introduction
In cirrhosis, low protein, low albumin, a reversal of A/G ratio, low urea, low cholesterol; slight elevation of bilirubin (conjugated), GGTP, SGOT & alkaline phosphatase are observed. Low Ca+ is seen due to hypoproteinemia. Low Na+ & Cl are seen due to hemodilution & salt restriction in diet.
