Space Occupying Hepatic Lesions - Blood Picture
Space Occupying Hepatic Lesions - Blood Picture - Introduction
An increase in alkaline phosphatase with normal bilirubin level is observed in either space-occupying hepatic lesions (abscess or tumor) or bone lesions (osteoblastic metastasis etc). An increase in GGTP goes in favor of hepatic lesions. In bone lesions, GGTP is normal. SGOT & SGPT may be marginally raised in the hepatic lesions.
