Is coating of tongue in a febrile child should be taken as a sign of toxemia and warrants antibiotic initiation?

Not a good sign in young infants for toxemia. It is a good sign suggesting toxemia in children older than 5 years. Do not initiate antibiotics only from coated tongue even in older kids.
