Mechanism :

N-carbamylglutamate (NCG), an analogue of endogenous N-acetylglutamate which is an activator of arginine synthesis.


Indication :

• N-acetyl glutamate synthase (NAGS) deficiency

• Carbamoyl phosphate synthase deficiency


Contraindications :

No significant contraindications found.


Dosing :

Oral: 12.5-25 mg/kg/dose QDS.


Adverse Effect :

Chinese restaurant syndrome characterized as a sympathomimetic reaction including tachycardia, profuse sweating, increased bronchial secretion and temperature, and persistent crying.


Interaction :

No significant interactions found.
